I grew up in Washington, DC with hopes of playing in the NBA. I got cut from my high school team twice, but went on to start at the division one level.
They call me "Old Man Raine" because of my long list of sports injuries, like a broken hip and dislocated shoulders.
Throughout my career I battled with injuries, anxiety, and sometimes even depression. Lifting weights gave me my edge and kept me from losing my shit.
Getting stronger was also the only thing that truly relieved my pain from injuries. I found that it also calmed my mind, which was a difficult task growing up.
Seeing how much my life and mental health improved from getting stronger made me want to help others do the same.
